John Watson Joinery was established in 1973 as a manufacturer of high quality timber doors and windows. With over 35 years of experience in supplying the UK housing market, we have developed a unique range of products to meet today's stringent requirements for security, weather protection and durability.

Secured by Design (PAS 23/24)

We have developed a comprehensive range of products for the housing market and we are now one of the oldest Secured By Design accredited manufacturers.

Product Range

We manufacture the widest possible selection of exterior doorsets ranging from steel, fibre, timber composites and fire doors for flat entrances to solid hardwood panelled entrance doors and French doorsets, all to Secured by Design standards.

Custom Design

As well as our comprehensive range of standard sizes we offer a bespoke service in which we manufacture our standard patterns to non standard sizes and in addition we will design doors to non standard patterns.

Windows

We manufacture custom sized timber casement and mock-sash windows in hardwood and pine which have full Secured By Design accreditation BS644 & BS7950.

Social Housing

With an established customer base within many Housing Associations and Local Authorities we have considerable experience and knowledge of the social housing market throughout the UK.

Contractor Supply

As we are the specified manufacturer by a growing number of Housing Associations, we are familiar with the requirements of their subcontractors, many of whom with which we have developed good cooperative working relationships.

Design/Build

From our substantial experience in the design build market, we have been able to develop a range of competitive products to meet the demands of both excellent durability and appealing aesthetics.

Technical Advice

We freely provide an information service to architects, designers and specifiers, in which we provide up to date advice about the current building standards, regulations, and legislation affecting window and door design and the most appropriate type of product for the application.

SBD Certification

As one of the first fully approved SBD manufacturers, we always maintain the pace of change by keeping our accreditation fully up to date.
